Hi everyone. I was walking around Lake Aquitaine this afternoon between 12:15-1:45pm. Sighted the following:
Blue Jays x 3
Cardinals x 14
Chickadees x 3
Crows x 2 ... one perched on tree branch, cawing up a storm - the other below on grass pigging out on 1/2 shelled peanuts
Goldfinches x 4
House Sparrows - dozens
Mockingbird x 1 ... Yippee, got a really great and long look at him today!- then he flew & landed by my toes, looked up as if to say "So, where's my food?!" - tossed him some 1/2 shelled peanuts and then he was happy. :D
Mourning Doves x 3 - 2 large, 1 small. I'm wondering if this is a mom, dad and youngster?
Sighted my favourite squirrel, "White Nose" along with lots of others.
Lake Aquitaine: SE corner of Glen Erin Dr./Aquitaine Ave., behind the Meadowvale Community Centre.
