Over the last few days we have had a few encounters with skunks
Two nights ago one came bounding along the front of our garage while I standing nearby.
Had a little crisis moment :o . It was a really strange looking skunk, all black with an off white spot on the tip
of it's tail. Today My dog had a face to face meeting with another skunk while out on a walk with My Wife.
Careful
Cheers! Napper

hey Snapper ! :P I too have seen variations on the striped skunk...makes a bit tough to ID in the dark.
Racoons are stirring too.

yeah! tell me about it :D
What is that thing running towards me?
That's not a skunk, uh oh
Skunk out" its inevitable either me or the dog
Cheers, snapster

I've found that they prefer to run off than spray...b/c I throw scraps outside, we'll get skunks nosing around...occasionally I'll approach them and they may stamp but then they run off if I don't scare off.
