Title: Aviation people: Heads up for Thursday, March 1st

Hi everyone.  Some excitement .....  8)

Two more days until the inaugural B787 flight arrives at YYZ in Boeing house colours.  Approximate arrival time 14:00 hrs.  

She will be departing on Sunday, March 4th.  EDT to be announced.

Hi Jo-Anne,

Is there a link where I can get more info? I probably won't go to Pearson but I'm close to the glidepath for a/c coming in from the east. Thanks.

Hi Bob.  I'm happy you caught her!  :D

I was standing out on the grass for the Airside tour, watching her land then taxiing past then they took us to where she was parked for some really up close & personal looks and photos - beside, behind and in front.  Wow, what a beauty - the huge Rolls Royce engines are unbelievable!  Then we were driving around the Infield very close to the active runways! This has been a truly spectacular afternoon!   8)

Also, according to a GTAA official, apparently she's now departing on Monday instead of Sunday.

Sunday hmmm..

Beautiful bird in Boeing livery..  Is that why traffic was so screwed up at 3pm westbound on the 401 today.

I remember what happened when the 380 came in for a visit, the highway was a disaster.

Apparently she's departing tomorrow morning (Sunday, March 4th) at 8am.  I will be checking the FlightAware site around 7am'ish to see what's listed.
