From Long Point's (http://www.bsc-eoc.org/lpbo/sightings.html) update:
"The first Scarlet Tanager was observed at Old Cut on May 1st and the season's first Summer Tanager (a second-year male) was at Old Cut mid-day on the 5th."
Not sure if that helps or not

I'm certain your bird is a Summer Tanager, albeit immature. The first one I saw at Pt. Pelee was very similar with a little more green. But last year's sighting, also at Pt. Pelee, was an adult male--all red and very beautiful.

Thanks Lloyd ;) is what the consensus is ,that i saw the same bird reported at Old Cut on the same day ,2nd year summer tanager :) such a pretty bird and was neat to have him pose on a picnic bench for me.
