My wife called me over to the Elbow River, saying she saw 3 large birds in the trees across the bank.
I took a look and immediately knew we had 3 juvie bald eagles perched. The lighting sucked but I snapped away.
Three went to 6, which climbed to 8 or 9.
There were a mix of juvies with 3 or so adults. They gave us some spectacular fly bys.
If the lighting improves, I'll be back again this week. Amazing to see them perched right next to a major roadway.
