Title: DC Cormorant question
Post by: Napper on March 04, 2012, 02:54:43 PM
Hey

quik question,  do all Double Crested Cormorants migrate South to warmer climates?

or will some  stick around open water like the Niagara river?

I spotted one today as it flew over the QEW near the Burlington Bridge(s). I was on my

way back from the Niagara region.

Thanx in advance.

Napper :)

I saw a couple at Port Weller in January and one at Bayfront Park in Hamilton beginning of February, so a few do stick around.
