Title: Grackles and RWBBs
Post by: Whittam on March 06, 2012, 12:22:59 PM
Grackles and Red winged black birds were calling and marking territory at Bluffers park this morning.  Also had a house finch singing in good form!  Spring is on its way!   Cheers Terry

New arrivals at Rosetta McClain Gardens were 3 Red-winged Blackbirds, 9 American Robins and 11 Northern Cardinals that were all singing up a storm this morning around 8:30 AM.  Many of the overwintering birds were singing out as well including the little Carolina Wren.  Things are definitely starting to pick up along the Bluffs.

since Thursday, the RWBB have moved back into the GTA. my usual measuring stick is seeing them along the DVP on my way to work.
today, they're starting to dot the guard rails along the highway.
a nice site after a boring birding winter.
