Title: Cooper's hawk pair building nest at Riverwood
Post by: lovemypt on March 16, 2012, 01:46:25 PM
Hi all

I was at Riverwood this morning and it seems the pair from last year are back and building a nest either at same spot/ or very close by.  They were very busy gathering sticks on the ground and breaking of new ones in the trees above. I didn't actually see them go into the old nest but they were constantly hanging around the same location, and were continuously calling back and forth to each other.

Cool.   8)   Thanks for this report, Dave.

So, I wonder if it will be 4 babies up here at Maplewood and 5 babies at Riverwood just like the last few years?  :D
