Title: Rosetta McClain Gardens and Bellamy Ravine, Toronto

This morning I birded the Gardens and found the following 23 species:

Canada Goose, Mallard, Sharp-shinned Hawk, Ring-billed Gull, Rock Pigeon, Mourning Dove, Downy Woodpecker, Hairy Woodpecker, Blue Jay, American Crow, Tree Swallow, Black-capped Chickadee, White-breasted Nuthatch, Carolina Wren, American Robin, European Starling, Cedar Waxwing, Song Sparrow, Dark-eyed Junco, Northern Cardinal, Red-winged Blackbird, Common Grackle and House Sparrow.

At Bellamy Ravine (Doris McCarthy Trail) I added the Following 2 species to the list:
Cooper's Hawk and Winter Wren.

Good find on the Tree swallow Walter........  that is an early one!  I also love the Winter wren song!  I hope it was singing for you.  C u at Rosetta soon.  Cheers Terry

Oh it did, it was singing away as it foraged along the bank of the creek in the ravine.

Hi Walter,

We were by Rosetta today. Besides the birds you already saw, we can add 1 Brown Creeper, 2 Double-crested Cormorants, 5 Red-breasted Mergansers, 2 Buffleheads, 2 Long-tailed Ducks.
