Terrible light this morning and a bit of drizzle, but worth it for these two calling and drumming away. The male later flew to the base of a tree less than ten feet from me and I was too surprised to take a photo...

I went back a bit later when the sun came out, but they were nowhere to be seen, though they were calling occasionally - perhaps from across the river.

Pretty nice and clear pictures.
Congrats.
What time did the PWs appear at LW?
-
Thank you! They were in the woods from around 10:30-1:00, occasionally crossing the Humber and for the most part staying in the south half of the woods.

The female shared a log with a gray squirrel for a minute or two.

Thank you! It's definitely great to have them in Toronto and so close to home.
