Title: Turkey Vultures, Tiny Township
Post by: Napper on March 17, 2012, 08:19:19 PM
We were in Tiny Township today

Was beautiful up there (no fog) and quite warm, should have brought beach wear.

Spotted my first Turkey vulture of the year at hwy 92 and Crosslands rd (just outside of Wasaga)

Spotted a Northern Harrier on Flos rd 7 near County rd 6.

The Merlin has returned to the beach, it was all around our place most of the day.

I've had TVs here in Alliston for at least three weeks now but saw the first Harrier late last week - Thursday, I think.  Lots and lots of vultures - two groups of 6-8 each; circling over a farm yard in one case and landing on a barn roof for a breather, which I've never seen before here in Canada [on a building, I mean].
