Title: Dripping Trees
Post by: Brian Bailey on March 17, 2012, 09:43:41 PM
I noticed an unusual phenomenon late today:  trees dripping with moisture.  I sort of half noticed this afternoon, but it really really came to my attention on a walk this evening.  Some trees where absolutely dripping, some were unaffected, and the rest occupied the full spectrum in between.  At first I thought it was just  maples, but then I saw, birch, oak, and Tulip Trees doing it too.  It never rained, but the ground under some trees was all wet.

Does anyone have an idea what causes this?  Warming up too quickly?
