Riding along the waterfront trail yesterday afternoon, I had a Northern Flicker at the side of the trail near the former Lakeview Generating Station. I heard one calling in the Niagara area Friday, but this was the first one I've actually seen this year.
It seems there were a lot more Grackles around too. I had 14 in one small tree.

Saw one on Sunday up here in Newmarket on the Tom Taylor Trail.

I saw this guy on the Humber Trail east of hwy-27. Lots of RW blackbirds, Grackles and Cedar Waxwings around too.
