Not stellar shots but hell I was quite thrilled to see them yesterday. Bluebirds rock! And seeing them again make me happy. I saw some that wintered over but it wasn't the same feeling as it was yesterday.

They're so beautiful! May I ask where? I've never had the pleasure of seeing one.

Cold Creek in Nobleton. They are around the visitor centre setting up in some nest boxes. I saw two pairs yesterday.

Beautiful birds. Oddly I have seen and photographed the Mountain Bluebird but have never seen an Eastern Bluebird.

Must be bluebird time, I didn't see this until I posted some bluebird photos! Your colour turned out better ( and your house is in better shape!, LOL)

If you live in the GTA, soon there will be many Eastern Bluebird sightings in Rouge Park. The best spot to see them in on the Vista trial, in the wet meadow south of Pearse House. Under the hydro lines are many nestboxes, I have seen and photographed many bluebirds there. There was even several seen and counted during the Rouge Park Winter bird count back in January! Another good spot is along the Woodlands trail, again under the hydroline, or just south of the Reesor Parking lot in the open meadow. Good Luck.

Thanks for the potential spots to find Bluebirds in Toronto Gary. We (Angie and I) have yet to check out the Rouge Valley and really should.
I only wish this were on our property Farmer. I was about 30 mins north of my house to see these guys.
Mountain Bluebird. Now that is something I would like to see. I should have seeked out the one in Guelph this past winter. I had "Snowy" fever though.

Great find Rob, i'll have to get out and look for the Bluebirds soon myself.
