Title: Mockingbirds and Chimney Swifts
Post by: Napper on May 31, 2007, 10:30:10 PM
Tonight while attending my weekly sporting event

I spotted 2 swifts circling above the field of play.. Also a Mocking bird in a tree adjacent the field at Milton District High school.. (16mile creek is a stones throw away). I was able to listen to this one for quite a while and was very impressed with his rendition of an American Gold finch, Robin, Cardinal, Grackle and what sounded like a Flicker..amongst others...

Later while at our team sponsor's establishment there were swifts above down town Milton..:))

The Mocker in this area is a new one on me..I guess their territory/range is expanding..
