Title: Kortright Center Sightings, March 24
Post by: Natura Tours on March 24, 2012, 10:57:53 PM
I only had a short time to visit Kortright today for some birding, but in half an hour this morning I had 24 species.  This included 1 Fox Sparrow, 1 Eastern Bluebird, 2 Eastern Phoebes, 1 Red-bellied Woodpecker, 1 Pileated Woodpecker and 2 White-crowned Sparrows.  My full list can be found on ebird: http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S10256013.  Tree Sparrows are still hanging around as well.

The Kortright Marsh is quite active with Wood Ducks, Hooded Mergansers and the resident pair of Trumpeter Swans.  On a herp related note Leopard Frogs are calling like crazy at the marsh.

If anyone wants the specific locations of the mentioned birds at Kortright, please send me a message or email me.

Good birding,
