Title: double-crested cormorant
Post by: American Redstart on March 25, 2012, 10:53:08 AM
Saw a pair of cormorants flying overhead.
Are they early? Or should they be here yet.

I think they usually arrive in March, so it's normal for them to be here by now. I saw a tree full of them from the Burlington Bridge a few days ago.

I just came from the Leslie Spit where I counted about 100 staking their claims in the colony. I'm sure there were even more on the other side where I couldn't see.
