Title: Long-tailed ducks beside Cherry St. bridges
Post by: dodo on March 28, 2012, 12:43:00 PM
I jogged down Cherry St. this morning on my way to Cherry beach and saw long-tailed ducks diving beside the drawbridges. (One  goes over Keating channel at the mouth of the Don River and another goes over the entrance to an enormous ship docking basin.)

they were there all winter due to the lack of ice.
its a great spot to see them up close.

Thanks for that info mr. sharp-photo.I will have to take my camcorder with me when I run by tomorrow.I have seen and photographed half a dozen different duck species (all on the lower Don river) but I had never seen a longtail 'till  today.
