I was jogging down the bicycle trail beside the Don River this afternoon when I saw a mink swimming from a pile of wood (lodged under a bridge just south of Queen St.) to the shore. Its the first time I have seen a mink in the wild.

Congratulations on your first Mink, they're beautiful little creatures.
It's just wonderful to see, hear and read that so much wildlife is returning to the lower Don River after sooo many years of being filled with nothing but sewage, plastic bottles, bicycles and shopping carts.

Thanks Bluffs Birder.I wish the mink hadn't disappeared so fast though.I only got a 20 second sighting before the critter disappeared into a hole.Next time I am jogging in that area I will keep my eyes peeled.
