I swear he was counting the eggs:

The birds are very active in the mornings mostly so if anyone goes that would be the best time.
Happy Birding!

Cool shots !
Port Colborne is on the list of places to visit this Easter Weekend.
My Parents have been out to see the Eagles a few times this week :!:

Thanks Napper, they well worth seeing before the trees fill in and cover up the nest
There is a favorite tree they like to perch in as well, both birds took turns sitting on the eggs and each of them flew over to the tree to preen then took off towards the lake to hunt
Unfortunately they never came back with food :(..I guess they are just feeding themselves till the eggs hatch.

Very cool shots Irene, outstanding. Going this weekend to try my luck. Thanks so much for the directions.

I hope you get to see them Clemens, words could not express what I felt when I saw them flying, I was in total awe.

Hey!
Hopefully the nest is a success!
I do know that years ago Carp spawned in the shallows near the road entrance to Nickel Beach.
The Eagle's could have an impact on the (over) population of Gulls and DC cormorants that nest
on the main Break_wall that protects Gravelly Bay.
I dunno what effect they will have on the Protected population of Tern's.
Should be interesting.

We didn't get over to the beach side, the guys were to lazy to drive over lmao! and they were cold and hankering for a Timmies. Of course me being the outdoorsy girl I am ...didn't feel a thing!
I didn't realize that they had such an impact on the populations of gulls and cormorants..that's cool.
There were several heron nests as well but empty, the nest they were using was an old Blue heron nest as well (that's what I was told anyways) I guess they renovated it to suit their needs.
