Post by: Bird Brain on April 08, 2012, 03:38:32 PM
Hi everyone.  I was walking around Maplewood Park today from 10:15am - 12:15pm.  Sighted the following:

Blue Jay x 1
Brown Creeper x 1
Cardinal x 1 (male)
Chickadee x 1

Cooper's Hawk x 2 - female sitting quietly in nest, male perched on nearby tree branch, eating something fairly large, bloody and furry - couldn't tell if it was a squirrel or small rabbit.

Crows x 2
Downy Woodpecker x 4 (1m, 3f)
Hairy Woodpecker x 2 (1m, 1f)
House Sparrows - lots
Junco x 1 (male)
Red-breasted Nuthatch x 6
Robins - a few
White-breasted Nuthatch x 1

Mourning Cloak butterfly x 1

Human wearing bunny ears riding around on bicycle.  Happy Easter!
