Title: Lithuania Cooper's Hawks
Post by: Leslie on April 10, 2012, 05:14:01 PM
Now that the buds are swelling it's getting a little harder to see these birds.  I usually see them in flight.
On overcast days like today they stay close; on fine days they hunt somewhere else.
I understand Coopers have been seen in High Park near the old sculpture garden--can anyone confirm?
Those fluffy "white undertail coverts" make both male and female appear white-rumped when flying.
