Title: Grebes at Sam Smith Park
Post by: Brian Bailey on April 13, 2012, 10:35:19 PM
A short walk at dusk produced most of the usual suspects.  Still lots of Red-necked Grebes, but there numbers are starting to decline.  The big surprise was a tight flock of approximately 30 Horned Grebes near the southeast headland.  I've seen that many at this time of year, but never so close together.
