Title: Queen's Park Today
Post by: BC on April 16, 2012, 05:21:12 PM
I spent 90 minutes birding Queen's Park today and did two circuits of the park. It was my first visit of the season. I checked my notes from the last several years and the birds I saw today, considering the warm winter and early spring, are only a few days earlier than in previous years.

My 'first of year' birds were Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker (2), Ruby-crowned Kinglet (4) and a singing Chipping Sparrow. Other birds included a Red-tailed Hawk, a Golden-crowned Kinglet and lots of Dark-eyed Juncos (14).
