We have been thrilled to have a male Red Bellied Woodpecker come to our feeders daily for much of the winter. Then he disappeared for several week....... but yesterday........there he is again. But this time not alone, he has brought with him a Mrs. I imagine this means they are or will be nesting in the area. It was very obvious that she was not used to human feeders as she tried to figure out how they work. Very thrilling. Hope she was impressed enough to return daily.
Also had a single male Rose Breasted Grosbeak return yesterday.
