I couldn't make it to High Park this morning, but I bet the birding was great because on my street - in just 5 minutes this morning - I saw:

blue winged warbler
rose breasted grosbeak
grey catbird
baltimore oriole
white throated sparrow
chipping sparrow
white crowned sparrow
grackle
brown thrasher
brown creeper

I live 2 blocks east of the park and we get some ususual birds from time to time on the street (summer tanager, cerulean warbler, spruce grouse to name the rarest I've seen), but what I saw this morning in terms of numbers is fairly rare.  Oh to have gotten into the park instead of working today!
