As being reported on OntBirds, the Townsend's Solitaire is still being seen in and around the ditch directly across the street from address #8712 on Langstaff Road in the hamlet of Kendal.  Myself and 2 other birders found it this morning at 11:00am as it flew up and called out from the top of a tree on the back side of the ditch.  Very easy to hear, see and ID.  Also seen from where we were standing was a small group of Pine Grosbeaks feeding in the centre of the road.

From the 401 head north on Highway #115, turn right on to #9 Ganaraska Road.  Follow along thru Kendal and then turn left on to Langstaff Road.  Watch for #8712 on the left side.

I went up there today and the Townsend's Solitaire (my first lifer for 2013!) was still there, sitting openly for a while before darting off out of sight.

There were reports of Evening Grosbeaks at a feeder nearby earlier, but they were gone when I got there.

I also sighted a Raven.

Interesting! We've had a Townsend's wintering here in the Finger Lakes of NY at Smapson State  Park on Seneca Lake since December. That's two at least that came east.
