Hi and happy holidays to all.

Ok, which one of you guys told my birds I have a new camera, because, except for my house sparrows, they've become really scarce. I got my SX50 over a month ago and except for the occasional visit by a pair of cardinals all I see is sparrows; no sign of the chickadees, nuthatches, downies or finches that were (well, sort of) regulars up until a month ago, really disappointing considering all the great reports from just north of the city during Sept. and Oct. Is everyone else seeing the same thing? I could be wrong but I'm hopeful that tomorrows expected snowfall will make the feeder more attractive to birds that can no longer feed on the ground.

They must be hanging out at my place...sorry. My regulars are both nuthatches, Red belly Woodpecker, House Finches, Chickadees(many), Downy and Hairy woodpeckers, also had 4 Red Polls today and one solitary Whitewinged Crossbill, Junkos, Gold finches and a Coopers Hawk. Have been seeing most of these on a daily basis except the crosoo bill and redpoll who are more recent visitors.

You must be north of Toronto? - I'm in the Bayview / Steeles area and even the woods across the street are quiet!
