My Sam Smith walk started out slowly with mostly the expectable waterfowl.  Then 2 Turkey Vultures swooped so close I could feel the breeze off their wings, a drizzle started, and I came upon a smaller bowl near the Jean Tweed Residence that had pines full of birds.  It was almost like a mini fallout for about 20 minutes.  Many, many Gold-Crowned Kinglets, and in among them were Ruby Crowns with wings a-flicking, a Nashville with it's big spectacles, a Pine up high foraging like a creeper, and a super-flitty Blue Gray Gnatcatcher.  Later, in the wooded area near the marshy bit just above the lowest parking lot, I saw a Wood Thrush, a White Throated Sparrow, and Yellow Rumps. Interesting birds between 12 and 3 included:

Redhead
Turkey Vulture
Sapsucker
Hairy
Flicker
Phoebe
Creeper
G.C. Kinglet
R.C. Kinglet
Blue Gray Gnatcatcher (on the early side)
Wood Thrush
Nashville (on the even earlier side)
Yellow-Rumped
Pine
Song Sparrow
White Throated Sparrow (my first of the year)
Junco
Cowbird
Goldfinch
