Visiting the Royal Botanical Gardens in Hamilton on Saturday, there was a decent assortment of odonates, but the notable one was a huge number of Blue Dashers in the marshy areas behind the gardens. There must have been hundreds of them. Maybe it was just the timing, but I've never seen so many in one place before. They were mostly in the areas with lily pads.
There were also good numbers of Common Whitetails and Black Saddlebags.
