I think I have a blond (Ok, I'm kidding, she's really green) hummer coming to my feeder! She(?) flies from flower to flower poking around at the base of the bee guards but she can't seem to figure out how to feed. I've seen her a few times and it's always the same routine, fail at the flowers, check above and below, give up, go perch somewhere close by before flying off. It's funny to watch but it's also kind of sad (I'm a softie!). All the other birds seem to have no problem. Has anyone else seen this kind of behavior? Will she learn to feed before starving to death...etc., etc.
