This past Sunday we headed home from Tiny Township
as usual on remote back roads. Along the way
I noticed large groups of Barn swallows perched on hydro wires.
adjacent the farm fields and swamp areas we traveled thru.

Last evening at home in Milton for more than an hour a very large mixed group of Swallows
were searching for insects high and low around our neighbourhood :?:

It would be post breeding gatherings in large flocks before the actual migration starts, which would be fairly soon.

We're seeing hundreds of Barn Swallows, Bank Swallows, and Chimney Swifts moving over the Rosetta McClain Gardens Raptor Watch site each morning now.

RMGRW is located on the top of the Scarborough Bluffs in the east end of Toronto (Scarborough).  One stoplight east of the intersection of Kingston Road and Birchmount Road.
