Spectacular day to be outdoors. All sorts of warblers at Col. Sam including Black-throated Blue - close enough to touch; Chestnut-sided; Magnolia and Palm. Swainson's Thrush; White-throated, White-crowned and a very tame Savannah Sparrow. Two Northern Shovellers in the marsh area. Kinglets everywhere! Kingfisher, Catbird and Bluejay. Monarchs throughout the park - dozens and dozens of them; all fresh and all on asters. Also, American Lady, Northern Crescent and Mourning Cloak as well as the regulars...........
