Shirley as I call her, still visits a few times a week this winter.  She's been chased by the Coopers a few times but she still comes back.

Nom nom nom.   :P

Passing the Sparrow a day later.

This Northern Mockingbird continues to enjoy the Holly berries out back.  Prior to this winter, we would only see a Mockingbird in the summer, in the baths.

And a backyard lifer for us this winter are some visiting American Tree Sparrows (4).  So nice to see some different birds out back this winter.

A birth certificate shows we were born.  A death certificate shows we died.  Pictures show we live.

Birding takes my mind off stuff and it adds good life to a tuff life. It also helps me forget about my spine pain and stress.  Laugh, eat, be merry.  Anybody with extra $ may send me some as It will permit me to travel.

Could it be a Coopers Hawk that has been taking your Doves?  They look like a Sharp-shinned, only much bigger.  Although a few winters ago our Sharpie did snag a Dove one day.  I was told that's quite impressive for such a bird.
