Fledging Falcons

It's been a hard Falcon fledge watch this season with too many fatalities; I can think of 8 from 5 sites off the top of my head. But those of us who watch over the surviving chicks trudge on, not giving up on them, despite some horrific heart breaking mishaps. We embrace the great moments as we watch the young birds try to figure out this big wide world outside of their nest trays, but are ready to drop everything including cameras when the moment comes to save them.

A birth certificate shows we were born. A death certificate shows we died. Pictures show we live.

Thanks! Some walk away after a hard season. Some say they are done but come the next Spring, they are ready to help again. I do my best to help as much as possible while still working and maintaining a house full of creatures myself, and I can't think of not ever stepping in.
Here's what an insane fledge morning is like, one human and four new Falcon fliers...
