Well I went to Cuba in late July and had a wonderful trip.  Of course I could not help but always look for birds and other wildlife. I even met up with a local bird guide who helped me get 49 species in Cuba (including 35 lifers).  If you'd like his contact info, drop me a PM.  Below are some of the best pictures I took.

Cuban Emerald

Cuban Tody

Western Spindalis

Crested Caracara

Great Lizard Cuckoo

American Flamingo

Black-necked Stilt

Tri-coloured Heron

Antilean Nighthawk

Grey Kingbird

Thanks Thouc.  Yeah we were lucky with that one, we spotted it from the car crossing the road on foot with one of its offspring.  We pulled over and I got out to take some pics...she/he then flew at me in an attempt to scare me off (I think) and then landed where I took that picture.  I only took 3 shots and then we left in order to reduce the stress on the bird.  But yeah all 3 shots came out amazing.  For my camera anyway.

rodbender - we went to Cayo Santa Maria, but I also birded part of the mainland near Caibarien.

Dinu - yeah it was great, it reminded me of the early days of birding when everything was new.  Quite invigorating.  Unfortunately I did miss out on a few that I really wanted including the Cuban Trogon.  But hey, I'm saving some for next time, right?   :D
