"Project Snowstorm" Owl in Toronto

[attachment=0:37brbz1i]Milkcreek.jpg[/attachment:37brbz1i]With Snowy Owls being such a hot topic again this year, I thought some of you may be interested in yesterday's announcement from "Project Snowstorm". Apparently one of their Snowy Owls (named "Millcreek"), who was fitted with a transmitter last year has been spending this winter in the area around Toronto Pearson Airport. Project Snowstorm is a scientific study initiated during last year's irruption that involved placing high-tech solar transmitters on some of the owls. Even if you are not in the Toronto area, it's really interesting to look at the various maps provided on the website that show the extensive movements of this owl and others.
