This morning I was informed of a Snowy Owl perched atop one of our hangers. Around 7:30 am we went out and had a little looksie and sure enough an almost completely white Owl was sitting atop a metal roof access ladder at the East end of the Hanger.

Talking to one of our Flight mechanics afterward, apparently a group of them spotted a similar Owl last week as they were taxiing an aircraft back to the ramp parking area.

Napper   :D

p.s. Spotted Coopers Hawk around our house twice in the last couple of days. Today sighting  was just up the street,  it flew off  as I approached the tree along the sidewalk it looked out of control but it was the strong winds that caused it to fly in drunken like manner.

Today at 9:30 am I was outside for our morning break when I spotted a pure white Snowy Owl
heading South, It disappeared over our northernmost assembly building/hanger.

I think I spotted that Western Redtail Hawk yesterday, it was on a light standard near those soccer domes

Thanks for the update. Good to know the Western Red Tail might still be around. I was at downsview today at noonish but didn't have much luck. Just the regular red tails were there.

This morning at 6.25 am  I was walking along the East end of facility when I spotted two  Snowy Owls  (all white) circling each other. Every so often they would meet in the middle rotate and launch an attach with their Talons(body to body). This was going on only 30 feet away and say 50 feet up.

I can only assume this was some sort of territorial dispute. Quite surprising to see so close to all of us walking to our respective work area's.

Also surprised how long they continued after each other.

Napper

Finally saw the Snowy again (first time this year) and I think it's the same Snowy I saw back in December.

It was on the mulch-mound.  I was thrilled to see its little "ears" perking up.  Must've been the tune I was singing. :D

Between 9:30 a m and 9:40 am  while on a break outside a group of us spotted two Snowy Owl's.

One was sitting on  the top edge of our Northern most assembly hanger the other flew close by the first one.

Napper :)

I fully expect to see Redwing black birds and Killdear  in the next couple of days, lets hope it happens

I saw one late yesterday.  It was on the fence of the tallest hill and was just sitting there the whole time I was there (for about 1 hour).  It looked different from the Snowy I photographed above.  Likely passing through and using Downsview as a pit-stop.
