Saturday afternoon around 3pm I spotted an adult bald eagle soaring just east of Silverthorn Park (Bloor & Cawthra), the bird was already probably several hundred feet up and rapidly rising on a thermal, but definitely an adult with clearly full white head and tail. Within a couple of minutes between rising altitude and the bird continuing to drift eastward it disappeared behind trees and buildings. At the rate it was moving east it probably wouldn't have been long before it was over downtown.
