Was driving along the 401 to Quebec last Monday and spotted a mature bald eagle soaring near the highway just east of Gananoque. We were just getting over the thrill of spotting one, when, about 3 km later, I noticed another large bird up ahead. Sure enough, we saw a second one .. then, amazingly, we hit the trifecta about another kilometre up the highway. I don't think I've seen three mature bald eagles that low in the few years I've been stopping by Hawk Hill in High Park. It was a fantastic start to our March break!
