Looked out my window today as I saw this one fly by and sit on the roof of the opposite building, managed to get a few shots before it flew off. I'm thinking its a Cooper's, but wasn't sure. (Rexdale and Islington Area) Thanks in advance!

I would concur but...that's probably a good argument against it being so.

How come birds in the field never look the birds in the guides....sigh.

Looks like a Red-tailed Hawk to me. Too short a tail among other things for an accipiter.

You can see it a bit better in this one, but it turned out somewhat lighter because I was in a rush. It took off flying rather fast  :(

Thanks everyone for the input!
