After coming back from work as I was clearing up the snow from the deck I noticed a red-headed bird on a tree in the park behind the house. Initially I thought it was a Pileated woodpecker. After it flew into a tree that was closer to where I was standing I realized that it was a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker - something new at my backyard. This is the second time in three years that I have a seen a Sapsucker - the first one was at G Lord Ross Park not too far from where I live. The other regulars like the downys, the nuthatches and the juncos were at the feeder at the time.
