25 Swans and a Grebe at the Bluffs
on:
March 25, 2008, 09:13:04 PM
Saturday I had a chance to get out and do some driving. I opted to swing by the Bluffs and see what was about, and to my amazement there were 25 swans - a mix of Mute and Trumpeter swans, which included an immature Trumpeter. Also diving for fishies was a female Horned Grebe. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

The grebe was still hanging around on Sunday along with 20-30 Buffleheads and a very co-operative Hooded Merganser.
The Buffleheads were getting very close too.

Great shot on that Bufflehead Kin - I noticed that they were a little closer than normal as well but none would shine in the sun the way yours did!

That's a great shot of the hoodie Kin. Well done with the tough exposure and great lighting.
Iain.
