Hybrid Mallard?

I found an odd female Mallard at Amos Waites Park in Mimico on Saturday. There are more flavours of Mallard hybrids than Baskin & Robins ice cream, and females are kind of nondescript to start with, but the facial pattern really got my attention. My best guess is that there are some Gadwall genes involved.

I saw the same one on Saturday and wasn't sure what to make of it. Interested to see what others think.
