Hi All,

Today I was at Bluffer's Park in Scarborough and saw a huge flock of atleast 100 Bohemian Waxwings with very few Cedars mixed in.  The birds were up in the tree tops eating berries.  They flew away in small groups a couple of times but quickly returned for more food.  I sat and watched them for over an hour...what an amazing sight to witness.  The colours stood out nice in the bright sunlight, especially those wing tips.  These birds, when together in a flock, create an interesting noise...it sounds like a whole bunch of cellphones ringing - lol.  Hopefully they'll come back tomorrow as I saw them fly up and over the top of the bluffs at roughly 5:00 PM.  Before today, I had never seen a Bohemian Waxwing, look at me now!!!

The trees that the Waxwings were in are located in the west park.  If you are in the middle of the park, look towards the lake and if the birds are there you should have no problem finding them.  Good luck!!

Happy Birding
