The ravine slopes of upper Highland creek can be quite steep but not everywhere is so formidable.
A particularly gently sloping section at the north end of Morningside Park offers areas of small
trees next to open field. A gravel path leads up to street level but weedy field falls away on either
side of the path. On several occasions deer have been spotted here. The brush is dense enough in
spots to conceal an entire deer. Is it any wonder there are deer ticks here.
