Spent the early afternoon gardening in the park.  Not really out on a birding trip, so my attention wasn't that focussed, but still saw Black Throated Blue and Green, Yellow, Magnolia, and Blackburnian Warblers, Great Crested Flycatchers, White-Breasted Nuthatch.  There don't seem to be quite as many Baltimore Orioles as last summer (still a lot, but it's not crawling with them like it was) but there are officially at least three male Orchards in the lanscaped gardens.  I saw only one but heard the three of them trying to outsing each other.  The House Wren in the allotment gardens is back, although he's moved house, closer to the "top" of the plots - right next to my garden in fact! I need to get some boxes in there next summer.  I *think* the buntings are back, but not yet singing quite as visibly as usual.
I was very heartened to hear about the owl in the park, as most of the gardening I do has to do with clever and novel ways to circumvent the chipmunks (I'm happy to share with them, but they have to let things grow first!).  Numbers of chipmunks seem to be up again after a a dip last year, so I welcome any and all predators to my plot, number sixteen, please eat anything you see moving in there.

Curtsey while you\'re thinking what to say - it saves time.
