Could greatcrested flycatcher be back?

In the woods today I heard several single sharp call fits the that of Great Crested flycatcher. When I followed the source, there was a guy whistling to his dog, so I gave up, thinking it was not likely anyway. Now I am doubtful.

Seems a bit early, I did a search for a Great crested under "Ontario" in eBird and none came up.

Great crested flycatchers arrive at the north shore of L. Erie at about the first week
of May but with climate changes occurring that may no longer be accurate. I have never
seen one in April but I may not be as observant as you are.
