Hello and welcome to the new forum!
I just wanted to let everyone know about a few changes that may seem different when compared to the old forum.

New Colour-scheme:
The most obvious change was to the overall look and colour-scheme to the site. I hope you like it. - If you find yourself reading the forum at night or in a dark room, and find that the brightness is just too much, you can easily switch it to night-mode (a dark-blue colour-scheme) by clicking on the crescent moon icon beside the search button to the right-side of the mountains banner image. Clicking it again will revert back to daytime colours.

Mobile-device friendly:
Viewing the website on a mobile-device should be much easier now (no more zooming in and out to read the small text, or clicking on the right link). The text and layouts should conform nicely for small-screen use. In some instances this may mean scrolling up or down to find a reply button, or clicking the "(...)" button to discover more options. - Photo's should also zoom to fit the size of your screen. (More on that below).

Viewing images:
I've added some code to help with viewing high-resolution images of the photo's you post, whether they have been linked from an external site, or uploaded as an attachment. - Large externally-linked images will zoom to the full width of your post. Clicking on them will expand them to fill the screen, and if the original image is even bigger than this, you will be offered a magnification cursor to allow zooming in further. To exit this full-screen mode you can either: scroll up/down, click outside the image's bounds, click the 'X' in the upper right corner, press the 'esc'-key, or perform the correct druidic chant. If your externally-posted image was wrapped in an anchor-link tag (ie. a <a href="....">), then center-button-clicking will still open the link as usual. - Uploaded image-attachments have the same features, with the exception that they still appear as thumbnails at the bottom of a post. Clicking on them will expand them to their original size in the same manner as above. They also have the additional feature of being able to cycle through all the attached images by clicking on the left/right arrow buttons, or using he left/right cursor keys on your keyboard.

Posting:
You may notice that the text-editor looks a little different when composing a new post or private message. Like modern word-processors, you can now see the effects your formatting without having to click preview (although you still can if you'd like to). - If you'd like to be nostalgic, you can always switch back to using/viewing [bbcode] tags by clicking the 'Toggle View' button (it's the last formatting button, and looks like a blue mouse cursor within red square-brackets). This mode may also prove useful for pasting bbcode generated from an external source.

Recent posts:
A section has been added below the main topics area which lists the 20 most recent posts. This may help frequent visitors quickly see what they've missed. Please let me know if you have any difficulties with these feature, or with the new forum in general, by posting in the Board-related Issues category of the main page. Also, the icon beside each forum topic (a nest with blue eggs) will become an empty nest if there are no new posts in that category since you've last visited.
Unfortunately, I was not able to retain your history of which posts you've read or not from the old site. So everything will appear to be new during your first visit.

Please let me know if you have any difficulties with these feature, or with the new forum in general, by posting in the Board-related Issues category of the main page.

Thank you so much, and my students and I made some crafts yesterday. And I think this one fits perfectly here. My sincere gratitude.

You can change the time zone if you go to "Look & Layout". It took a while for me to figure out.

Oh, right..... Thanks for noticing that that Dinu/Thouc. - The server is indeed located in Europe, so it's six hours ahead.
I've changed the forum's time-zone to be EST, so that should fix everyones times. (Thouc, since you're the only one to have discovered the setting in "Look & Layout", I've gone and manually changed your time-offset back to 0 in the database, so you shouldn't have to change anything.)

I'm grudgingly going to say than you....I'm sure I'll like it better than the old format as I use it....but it caught me off guard and brought out the grumpy old man in me.
