Hi everyone,
I went to High Park today and only saw one of the warblers that Ian mentions, and I was there for four hours and did most of the west and south part of the park. Does anyone know why this is? Am I just having horrible luck or is it related to the storm last night or temperature? I was specifically looking for warblers too and have had success with them in the past.
Thanks if anyone knows,
-Andrew

I suspect 'lady luck' and a less than stellar year.  Having done Rondeau and Pelee this year I found things slow in numbers.  While many suggest declining numbers some experts I spoke to also suggest a "lack of big weather fronts" going through that result in the expected 'fallouts' that haven't happened this year. Instead a general trickle through/fly-over affect. Sometimes you have to take what you get and be thankful for your personal highlights. In fact some birds were on the early side this year. Of note they had some of the earliest Prothonatary sightings in Rondeau in April.  Another day, another stroll, different luck.

Good spotting! Never leave your bins at home.
